Equa, for your health and nature's wealth
co-creation of the Equa brand, logo design, and all graphic materials needed for brand management and development, branding.

When I returned from my student exchange and started working on my thesis, I decided it was time to present myself more seriously to the market as a graphic designer. At the SEMPL event in Portorož, I met Anže, a young entrepreneur who had his offices in the Ljubljana university incubator. First, we collaborated on the Outbox brand, which was then engaged in video production. I created everything from the logo to the rest of the visual materials.

At that time, there was a lot of talk in the media about single-use plastic bottles, their harmfulness to health, and the environment. Anže then decided to start a new brand that would sell more environmentally friendly and degradable reusable plastic bottles. And so, we started developing the Equa brand together. This name came later; at the beginning, the idea was ecoist. First, we created the logo and the product - a bottle made of tritan copolyester material. Afterwards we needed to create graphic illustrations for the bottles, to make them more appealing and personalized. It was also necessary to create a Facebook business page, create a website, and deal with PR, advertising, cooperation, story development, and, last but not least, to educate ourselves about all possible plastic materials, their harmfulness, and labeling.
The project was demanding, time-consuming, and also very rewarding. It was an innovative creative startup and the brand also received an award for the most innovative service and story. Later on we applied the brand for P2 call and won financial investment which enabled us to strengthen both the team and the stock and produce new glass water bottles.

Cooperation with such a startup was certainly an incredible experience. I gained a lot of new knowledge and competencies, and I understood even more deeply how the brand works and what approach is needed to properly target the selected audience.
After a few years of close collaboration, I decided it was time for new challenges. I moved to Croatia, wrote my thesis, and worked on freelance projects.
The brand is owned by ZkotZ d.o.o., the authorship of the work I created for the EQUA brand during the years of collaboration is registered in the AAS under my name, specifically under registration number 93/11.
